A gorgeous sight! A room packed with DBA players

A gorgeous sight: A room packed with DBA players!

Wow, 32 players! Origins open gets bigger and bigger!

We had 32 players, which split evenly into two brackets with a split date of 2 A.D. As the results show, we had some very good competition this year, with a good mix of armies. The only army showing up multiple times was the Alexander Imperial list, which finished 7-5 among the three players using it. -- an interesting finish for a one time power army.

All the matches took longer this year than last. I put this down to the level of ability across the board improving, more players making sure of moves before committing. No one taking any opponent for granted as a sure win. Congratulations to Mike and Tom who split the wins. I probably should have made them play off for an overall winner, but instead -- until the 16th -- we can say Tom and Mike are winning. Thanks to all that played and hope to see you all at ATC or Origins next year.
