It was a fun tournament that I had to also play in as we ended with an odd number of players. But at 22 players I was more than happy with the turn out.
Players were paired first round by Date of army. In second round they were placed in one of two divisions. The natural break was AD and BC we had an over a 600 year break between the middle two armies date wise. But they wer uneven and I decided to move the Aztecs down so they would get some more even matchups.
We ran real long for some reason, after looking at the lists they weren't that foot heavy. And as I was one of the last playing in two rounds I'll just blame pips all around. It was interesting to note how usual top finishers were not there in this tournament, some even setting what could be a record for lowest points scored. We also had more ties due to time than I have had to force, even with BBDBA. So I think the Double size tournament is here to stay in GL land. For those who played I will have a better scoring system done for next year.
